Testimonials

We’re incredibly proud of the progress our students make, not just in their grades, but in their confidence, curiosity and joy for learning. Here’s what parents and students have to say about their TAG journey.

Meet the team!
Praise for our Workbooks
Samantha: “My daughter loved Riddles and Runes, she spent the whole weekend making her own book after solving all the riddles and we’ve even got the alphabet up on our fridge now!”
Amanda: “The 11+ Scholarship level blew my mind, my son and I did them together and he’s since wanted to read more poetry. Very happy”.
Chrisi: “My son loved the science kitchen summer school at Tag Tuition – he looked forward to it every day! The perfect mix of learning and free play and our sourdough starter we got to take home is still going strong. The team are brilliant and in my son’s words ‘are the kindest teachers ever!’”
Sarah: “TAG has been fantastic for our children, they are both very happy there and I couldn’t recommend them more.
My son LOVES his classes and we’ve seen such an improvement in his work and enthusiasm to learn!”
Flori: “A big thanks to the tag team for making the learning environment so creative and engaging. I wish I’d join in sometimes when reading the sessions’ summary and my son greatly enjoys attending. The storytelling activities have inspired him to write his own stories and illustrate them.”
Kara: “Amy has tutored both of my boys for English at different stages of their schooling as well as French and History. She is an excellent tutor and has been so understanding of their different needs. She taught my eldest son during a period of homeschooling in Yr 9 – she covered the curriculum thoroughly, with structure and clarity, whilst keeping him challenged and motivated. Both of my boys have always enjoyed her lessons and I highly recommend her tutoring.”
Claire: “I was so pleased to find Amy to help tutor my son for his GCSEs as he was struggling with English and was reluctant to put in the extra effort required because he did not know where to start. As soon as Amy arrived she immediately made my son feel at ease and he enjoyed his tutor sessions. He very quickly grew in confidence and made a lot of progress. He went from English mock results being grade 5 to GCSEs Language and Literature results both grade 8 and could not have been more thrilled.”
Evelina: “TAG has been our first and only choice for homeschooling. It has been a challenging decision to become homeschooled at year 7, but being part of TAG has made it a reassuring and positive experience. Felix and Holly have given Oscar the most creative and stimulating projects throughout the term. Their ability to understand the potential of a child and adapt the learning accordingly is amazing. Oscar has learned so much in such a short time. Each project has given Oscar a unique opportunity to combine multiple disciplines, and over time, work towards a final objective. TAG team has taken a special place in our lives and we value greatly all the effort TAG team puts in, not withstanding warm welcomes and friendly chats we share.”
Rosie: “I’m now in my final year of 6th form, predicted 4 A*s and an offer holder to study engineering at Newnham College, Cambridge. I couldn’t recommend Amy as a tutor enough – she’s kind, encouraging and was able to get me (a very reluctant reader) to enjoy reading. Thank you so much, Amy!”
Laura: “This is a fantastic high calibre and utterly warm hearted centre for children to learn and thrive. Can’t recommend highly enough.”
Simon: “We could not be more grateful for Amy’s help with the 11+ process. Unlike almost everyone else in the arena, she takes care to demystify the process and simplify it as well as making it accessible and fun (something we did not believe possible previously!!). Our son was awarded the Head Teachers Award alongside his Scholarship and looks back at the whole process with affection too.”
William: “Amy has been, and is, a superstar for our boys. Every interaction with Amy is fun and rewarding. She has infectious enthusiasm. Amy found perfect tutors to prepare our eldest son for the Oxbridge admissions process for computer science. His success was, in no small part, down to Amy’s ability to judge the skills that he needed to develop, and then to find the right tutors with specialist skills to supplement her guidance.”
